12 Massachusetts School Districts Partner with Code.org

According to this article from the Boston Business Journal, twelve school districts in Tablettoddlers’ home state of Massachusetts, including our hometown of Brookline, will partner with tech industry-backed Code.org to teach kids computer science starting this fall.

The group offers free, open-source courses in elementary, middle and high school classrooms and will provide curriculum, professional development and support for teachers.

Here’s the list of district that have partnered with Code.org (this doesn’t include a couple of schools in the Weymouth school district that have partnered individually with Code.org):

  • Arlington Public Schools
  • Ashland Public Schools
  • Brookline Public Schools
  • Littleton Public School District
  • Milton Public Schools
  • Needham Public Schools
  • Newton Public Schools
  • Reading Public Schools
  • Waltham Public Schools
  • Wayland Public Schools
  • Wellesley Public Schools
