Angry Birds Star Wars App Expands Offline

Hasbro has announced a hybrid digital and physical toy line intended to interact with the popular Angry Birds Star Wars app, similar to how Activision’s Skylanders game integrates physical toys with video games.

Hasbro is selling its Telepods, a hybrid digital and physical toy now.  The toys will work with the updated Angry Birds Star Wars app beginning Sept. 19 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10 devices.

A Telepods mode in the new Angry Birds app allows users to “teleport” physical toys into the game. The toys look like Hasbro’s stand-alone Angry Birds Star Wars figures, but each one bears a tiny, laser-etched product code. Players use the front-facing camera on their device to scan the code and the character appears on the screen in digital form. There is no need to drag the toy around the screen. And once characters are transported into the app, they can be played again and again.

  1. Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog.
Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.
I’m thinking about creating my own but I’m not sure where to begin.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks
